In the final phase of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, voters showed enthusiasm to elect their own government after six years of central rule. The issues of statehood, land and job protection, drug menace, and unemployment were paramount. Despite recent terror attacks, rural areas voted in large numbers, indicating a sense of security.
