đź’¨ Abstract
In Kochi, a catering unit named Brandavan, which allegedly supplies food to Indian Railways, was found with days-old and expired food materials. The unit was also illegally disposing waste into a nearby canal and operating without a proper license. The health department, alerted by local residents, inspected and plans to seal the unit. Boxes and glasses with the Vande Bharat logo were also found on site. The Railway has referred the matter to its food procurement department.
