💨 Abstract

Two prisoners, Pankaj (serving a life sentence for murder) and Ram Kumar (under trial for kidnapping and ransom), escaped from Haridwar district jail on Friday by using two ladders to climb a 25-foot wall during a Ramlila performance. A third prisoner, Chottu, was also involved but failed to escape when one of the ladders fell. Six jail staffers have been suspended for negligence.
