Heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning struck parts of Mumbai on Tuesday evening, particularly in the eastern and western suburbs. Jogeshwari and Powai saw the highest rainfall, with 63 mm and 38 mm respectively. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation reported minimal incidents, but traffic delays and waterlogging were noted, especially in Andheri. Commuters experienced slowdowns in road and suburban train services.
