💨 Abstract
India has announced it will not purchase liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Russia's Arctic LNG 2 project, which is under Western sanctions due to Russia's war with Ukraine. The project is subject to sanctions, and the United States has imposed penalties on companies involved in its development and shipping of LNG. Novatek, the project's developer, denies media allegations that it established and managed a "shadow fleet" for the project.
