💨 Abstract
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that India is advancing in the semiconductor sector after the Union Cabinet approved a Rs 3,706 crore semiconductor plant in Uttar Pradesh. The plant, to be built in Jewar by the HCL-Foxconn joint venture, will produce display driver chips for mobile phones, laptops, and automobiles, with a monthly capacity of 20,000 wafers and 3.6 crore chips.
