💨 Abstract

In the recent Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) was severely defeated, with only three candidates securing victory out of the 80 they fielded. Over 71% of PDP candidates forfeited their deposits, amounting to more than Rs 1.60 crore for the Election Commission of India.
