Forest officials in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, arrested a driver for transporting illegally felled Khair logs and impounded his jeep. The logs were found near Kanchi Mor in Mandap area. Seven logs were recovered from the jeep, and around 45 large logs were found at the spot. The state government has banned tree felling, and those involved in the case are being pursued.
