The Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh, the sole sanctuary for cheetahs in India, reopened for tourists on October 6 after being closed during the monsoon season. However, the cheetahs brought from Namibia and South Africa for the reintroduction project have not been released into the wild yet. The park houses 24 cheetahs, including 12 adults from Namibia and South Africa.
