💨 Abstract
The Major Atmospheric Cherenkov Experiment (MACE) observatory, the world's highest imaging Cherenkov telescope, has been inaugurated in Ladakh, India. The MACE, built indigenously by the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, is the largest imaging Cherenkov telescope in Asia and will contribute to global efforts to study cosmic phenomena like supernovae, black holes, and gamma-ray bursts.
