💨 Abstract
In Thane, a case has been filed against three individuals for allegedly extorting money from a builder by impersonating civic officials. The accused, who are absconding, claimed the builder's construction was illegal and demanded Rs 8 lakh, threatening demolition and legal action. The builder paid Rs 20,000 before reporting to the police. Arrest warrants were issued against Prashant Kadam, Uday Bansode, and Amit Patil.
