đź’¨ Abstract
The Madhya Pradesh High Court's Gwalior bench declared the appointments of 61 officers and employees, including the municipal commissioner, in the Gwalior Municipal Corporation (GMC) as illegal. The court ordered these officials to return to their parent departments, citing improper procedures and lack of qualifications. The judgment followed a petition challenging the appointment of a veterinarian as a health officer, who should have had an MBBS degree.
