In Jharkhand, 7,930 state-run schools are operating with only one teacher each, according to Education Minister Ramdas Soren. Approximately 3.81 lakh students are enrolled in these single-teacher schools. Additionally, 103 schools have no students and 17 teachers are employed there. The minister announced a campaign to attract more students to these schools called 'School Chalo Abhiyan'.
