💨 Abstract
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has improved weather prediction accuracy in Kerala, especially after last year's devastating landslide in Wayanad. A new radar in Mangalore is enhancing localized weather forecasting. The IMD will issue hyper-local alerts instead of district-wide warnings, covering northern Kerala districts. It helps narrow down extreme weather events, with alerts issued in both English and Malayalam.
