A viral video showed a dead rat in a pulse packet from a fair price shop in Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. The regional manager of the state's Civil Supplies Corporation and his team visited the complainant's house on May 13 to record her statement and sent a report to state headquarters. The video went viral on May 12. The officials recommended seeking a response from the National Cooperative Consumers’ Federation in Delhi and taking necessary actions to ensure food quality.
