On May 13, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting to assess India's progress in eliminating tuberculosis (TB) by the end of the year. The review included Union Health Minister JP Nadda, Health Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava, and officials from the Prime Minister’s Office. The National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP) has enhanced TB responses with advanced diagnostics, innovative policies, and private sector partnerships.
