💨 Abstract
Junior doctors in West Bengal are on a 10-day hunger strike demanding justice for a colleague who was raped and murdered, as well as workplace security, a centralized referral system, and other measures. One of the doctors, Pulastha Acharya, was admitted to hospital in critical condition on October 14. The Chief Secretary has urged the doctors to end the strike, but a meeting to discuss their demands has been scheduled for October 15.
