Samsung workers in India's Tamil Nadu state are paid almost double the average wage of employees in nearby companies, according to Samsung. Over 1,000 workers at a Samsung factory have been on strike for three weeks demanding higher wages and union recognition. The strike, which contributes to about a third of Samsung's annual revenue in India, is affecting the Indian government's effort to attract foreign investment and increase electronics production.
