💨 Abstract
The Supreme Court has directed the Indian government and the Commission for Air Quality Management to procure data on farm fires from geostationary satellites rather than NASA's polar-orbiting satellites. The data collected from these stationary satellites would provide a complete picture of farm fires throughout the day, allowing states to take immediate action. The court has also instructed the involvement of ISRO in this process.
