💨 Abstract
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has raised the possibility of resuming the Tulbul Navigation Barrage project on Wullar Lake, which was halted due to the Indus Water Treaty (IWT). The project, started in the 1980s, aims to use the Jhelum River for navigation and improve power generation in downstream projects, especially during winter. The IWT was temporarily suspended by India following a terror attack in Pahalgam.
