💨 Abstract
Turkey has imposed anti-dumping duties on some steel imports from China, Russia, India, and Japan, with the highest tariffs on Chinese imports. The move aims to prevent unfair competition and boost stocks of flat steel producers. The duties affect around 4 million tons of product imports with a value of $2-2.2 billion. The decision comes amid trade tensions between China and the European Union and follows a complaint by China to the World Trade Organisation on import duties in Turkey.
