Punjab Police have arrested two Delhi-based businessmen for allegedly supplying methanol, a toxic chemical used in spurious liquor that resulted in the deaths of 23 people in the Majitha region of Amritsar district. The accused are suspected of supplying methanol in bulk through online channels, which was then used to brew the illicit alcohol. The primary victims were daily-wage workers.
