💨 Abstract
The Punjab and Haryana High Court is reviewing a dispute regarding the release of 4,500 cusecs of extra water to Haryana from the Bhakra Dam. In its plea, Punjab argues that the Union Home Secretary lacked the authority to decide on water allocation and that no formal minutes were issued in the meeting that decided it. Punjab had already agreed to provide 4,000 cusecs daily but opposed the additional demand.
