Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel claims Vedic-era sage Bharadwaj conceptualized the idea of aircraft but credit for its invention went to the Wright Brothers. She also described Kumbhakaran, a character from the Ramayana, as a "technocrat" who spent six months building machines instead of sleeping. The governor urged students to study ancient Indian texts to appreciate the discoveries made by their ancestors.
