The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) prohibits any portrayal of Sikh gurus and their family members. Rathee cited feedback from viewers who felt the animation conflicted with their beliefs, and that despite positive reactions he did not want the video to spark controversy.
