The 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia, was likened to the 1944 Bretton Woods meeting due to its potential to reshape the global financial order. Attended by 40 countries, the summit aimed to rewrite rules and bring about change in the global financial and trading order, especially amid financial crises caused by wars and the pandemic.
