💨 Abstract
Despite efforts to reduce air pollution in Delhi, it remains high and dangerous, particularly during winter months. A major contributor to this issue is stubble burning in northern states like Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, where farmers clear fields after harvesting paddy. This practice releases smoke that significantly impacts air quality in Delhi and the NCR. State governments should take concrete measures to discourage stubble burning, such as offering incentives to farmers.
