💨 Abstract
The Taliban has opened its first India mission in Mumbai, with an Afghan student as acting consul, appointed by the Taliban. India does not officially recognize the Taliban government, but officials have visited Afghanistan and met with leaders, and India has offered use of the Chabahar Port to Afghan businesses. The Taliban's outreach to India is seen as a response to India's continued investment in Afghanistan, despite risks and setbacks.
