💨 Abstract
Artificial intelligence search startup Perplexity, backed by Jeff Bezos and Nvidia, launched a shopping hub to take on Google's search engine dominance. The new feature, powered by Shopify, provides visual product cards in response to shopping-related questions and includes a 'Snap to Shop' visual search tool. The startup is also introducing a 'Merchant Program' and is raising new investment to value it at $9 billion.
