OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT, has reported that cybercriminals have been using its AI models to generate fake content aimed at influencing elections, such as long-form articles and social media comments. The company has neutralized over 20 such attempts this year, including one in August that produced articles about the U.S. elections.
