💨 Abstract

An Afghan man, Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi, was arrested in Oklahoma for allegedly plotting a terrorist attack on election day, in the name of Islamic State. He was living in Oklahoma City after entering the U.S. in 2021 on a special immigrant visa. Tawhedi was arrested after meeting with FBI assets to buy two AK-47 rifles and ammunition, with plans to target large gatherings of people.
