💨 Abstract

Al Qaeda affiliate JNIM claimed responsibility for attacks in Burkina Faso and Mali, including a raid on a military post in Burkina Faso's northern Loroum province, reportedly killing 60 soldiers. The group has also claimed attacks in the towns of Sole and Gnagna, as well as an assault on an army base in Djibo. These incidents underscore the challenges faced by Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger in countering insurgent activities.
