💨 Abstract
Daily blackouts averaging four hours or more have become a routine issue in Havana, Cuba, due to a persistent energy crisis exacerbated by fuel shortages, natural disasters, and economic strain. Residents in the city are under stress, with blackouts affecting daily life. This situation has worsened amidst heightened U.S. sanctions on the island. Whilst Havana experiences scheduled outages, rural areas face longer power cuts, some lasting up to 15 hours daily.
