💨 Abstract
China has congratulated Donald Trump on his victory in the U.S. election, calling for a "pragmatic" approach to China-U.S. relations to handle their differences properly. The state-run newspaper China Daily said Trump's second presidency could mark a "new beginning" if the opportunity is not wasted, with stronger dialogue and communication between the two countries needed to handle differences on issues such as Taiwan, trade, and the South China Sea.
