💨 Abstract

Cyprus police have detained eight Syrian nationals for questioning on suspicion of raising funds for a designated terrorist group in a third country. The suspects, all from Syria, were arrested in Limassol and Paphos. There's no evidence they planned attacks in Cyprus. The police are investigating whether funds were raised from illicit drug trafficking. The group or its location remains unnamed.
