💨 Abstract

Cyprus began its six-month term as the rotating presidency of the European Union. The inauguration in Nicosia included Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and European Council President Antonio Costa. Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides emphasized the need to strengthen EU autonomy and integration. Zelenskiy's attendance highlighted continued EU support for Ukraine amid its ongoing conflict with Russia.
