💨 Abstract
Amazon and other companies, including Bayer, H&M, Walmart, and BCG, have agreed to buy carbon offset credits worth $180 million to support the conservation of the Amazon rainforest in Para, Brazil. The deal is the first by the LEAF Coalition in the Amazon. The purchase aims to reduce deforestation and combat climate change.
