đź’¨ Abstract
Haiti's armed gangs are increasingly recruiting children, using near-famine conditions and lack of resources as a means to force boys into gun-wielding roles and girls into sexual abuse and domestic work. The Human Rights Watch report states that gangs, controlling territory where 2.7 million people live, including half a million children, are using social media to attract recruits. About a third of gang members are children, according to the UN.
