An Indian man, Madhesh Ravichandran, won nearly £67,000 in compensation after a tribunal ruled that his manager at a KFC franchise in southeast London wrongfully dismissed him and discriminated against him based on race. Ravichandran's manager, a Sri Lankan Tamil, allegedly used derogatory terms like "slave" and "Indians are fraudsters."
