💨 Abstract

Iran has sent two locally made satellites, Kowsar (for high-resolution imaging) and Hodhod (for communications), to Russia for launch by a Russian space vehicle. This is the latest space cooperation between the two U.S.-sanctioned countries. The satellites are the first substantial effort by Iran's private space sector.
