💨 Abstract
Islamic State-linked rebels, the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), killed at least 15 people in three villages in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo’s Lubero territory. The attacks, which occurred on Thursday night, targeted mostly civilians and involved the use of bladed weapons and gunfire. The ADF, based in Congo since the late 1990s, has been the subject of operations by Congo’s army and Ugandan forces, but their raids continue.
