💨 Abstract

In Haiti, more than a million people, including over half a million children, are displaced due to ongoing gang violence. This represents a threefold increase since December 2023, making it the highest number of displaced people due to violence in the country's history. The United Nations and the International Organization for Migration are urging sustained humanitarian assistance to address the root causes of violence and instability.
