Ahmed Ramadan Mohamad Ebid, a 42-year-old Egyptian national, was jailed for 25 years in London for his role in smuggling nearly 3,800 migrants from Libya to Italy. Ebid, who arrived in Britain in October 2022, led a gang that charged migrants over £3,200 each, earning the network over £12 million.
