đź’¨ Abstract
President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will not attend peace talks between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul. Instead, Russia will send a delegation led by experienced officials. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, who initially preferred Putin's personal attendance, is attending. The focus is on a potential 30-day ceasefire and prisoner exchanges. Trump is open to imposing further sanctions on Russia if needed. Talks have been stalled for nearly three years.
