On 15th May 2025, Qatar Airways placed a historic $96 billion order with Boeing for 160 jetliners, including 130 Boeing 787s and 30 Boeing 777Xs, with options for 50 more. The deal, signed during President Donald Trump's visit to Qatar, is a significant boost for Boeing and GE Aerospace, which will provide the engines.
