💨 Abstract
Former judge Sam Hou Fai was elected as the chief executive-designate of Macau, a casino-dominated area near Hong Kong. Sam received 394 votes out of 398 ballots in an election lasting approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes. Sam's leadership will be based on the implementation of China's "one country, two systems" principle, allowing different legal and government structures in former colonies like Hong Kong and Macau.
