Street crime is surging in Pakistani cities, with a woman teacher being shot dead in Multan and a report of 5,533 street crime incidents in Karachi last month. The incidents include motorbike thefts, mobile phone snatching, extortion, kidnapping for ransom, and 100 deaths due to snatching alone.
