The Syrian army engaged in clashes with the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Aleppo, ordering residents to evacuate and accusing the SDF of launching attacks from Kurdish-majority areas. The fighting, which began on Tuesday, has displaced thousands and resulted in casualties. The SDF reported heavy losses inflicted on Damascus-aligned factions. The Kurdistan Regional Government's Prime Minister warned of ethnic cleansing, urging restraint and dialogue.
