💨 Abstract

China sent 8 military aircraft and 7 naval vessels towards Taiwan, violating the Taiwan Strait median line in the southwestern and southeastern air defence identification zone (ADIZ). Taiwan responded by sending its own aircraft and naval ships to monitor the situation. This is part of a recent series of Chinese military provocations near Taiwan. China has been increasing its military activities around Taiwan, including regular air and naval incursions into Taiwan's ADIZ and exercises near the island.
