💨 Abstract
Tanzanian authorities arrested and deported Kenyan activist Boniface Mwangi and Ugandan lawyer Agather Atuhaire, who traveled to Dar es Salaam to observe the treason trial of opposition leader Tundu Lissu. Lissu, who was shot in 2017 and ran in the last presidential election, faces treason charges for a speech allegedly inciting rebellion.
